Our work in action

Serving Our Neighbors

Our mission is simple: to provide for the needs of Fluvanna citizens that are not being met through other means.

We carry out that mission through a combination of ongoing assistance, community partnerships, seasonal programs, and faith-centered events. Each of these ways we serve provides an opportunity to care for our neighbors, strengthen our community, and put faith into action.

Five ways to connect

Care that takes many forms.

Every program is an invitation to show up for a neighbor, strengthen a local partnership, or make room for hope.

Christian Benevolence

Connecting People, Churches & Community Resources

Christian benevolence is at the heart of our work. We help coordinate individuals and local churches to respond to needs throughout Fluvanna County while also connecting with other area organizations and agencies.

By working together rather than separately, we can help connect neighbors with appropriate resources and provide support when other options may not fully meet their needs.

Emergency Assistance

Help When an Unexpected Need Arises

Unexpected circumstances can create needs that individuals and families may not be able to meet on their own. Serving Fluvanna helps support emergency needs through our partnership with the Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA).

Our goal is to help connect Fluvanna residents with assistance and community resources during difficult situations, particularly when their needs are not being met through other available means.

Food Pantry Support

Helping Keep Our Community Fed

Access to food is one of the most fundamental needs in any community. Serving Fluvanna supports the Fluvanna County food pantry in its work to provide food assistance to local individuals and families.

Through donations, volunteers, and community support, we help strengthen the pantry's ability to serve neighbors experiencing food insecurity throughout Fluvanna County.

Happy Face

Sharing the Joy of Christmas

The Happy Face program brings our community together to help make Christmas brighter for local families. Each year, we collect new toys, books, and clothing and welcome volunteers to help with the annual Christmas celebration.

Whether you give a gift, volunteer your time, or support the program financially, Happy Face offers a meaningful way to share generosity and encouragement with neighbors during the Christmas season.
